GAYLORD NATIONAL RESORT and LAKEPRESIDENTIAL GOLF CLUB ANNOUNCE EXCLUSIVE GOLF VENUE PARTNERSHIP

UPPER MARLBORO, MD (April 2, 2010) – Two of the newest upscale travel and recreation venues in Prince George’s County, MD, have partnered to offer a world-class destination resort and golf experience.  Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center announced this week that Lake Presidential Golf Club will become its preferred golf venue.  The two destinations are located less than 15 minutes from each other.

The focus of the new partnership was to create value-driven and guest-focused benefits for each destination.  This includes cross-marketing and promotional opportunities between both, and unique benefits offered to their customers.  For example, all Gaylord National guests will receive "preferred pricing" on club rentals at Lake Presidential, which is a value appreciated by out-of-town visitors as most do not travel with their own clubs.  At Lake Presidential, customers will receive access to special promotions, discounts and packages available at certain times of the year at the Gaylord National Resort.

Interestingly, both Gaylord Entertainment Company and Lake Presidential have roots in Oklahoma. The Gaylord family, founders of Gaylord Entertainment, are originally from the state, while Landmark Land Company, designers of Lake Presidential, got their start at Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond, Okla. in 1974.
